Sergio Fernandez
President
Sergio works as a Credit Manager at Zions Bank Corporation. Prior to that, he was the Public Relations Manager for Telemundo for 5 years, and worked for the Univision TV network for 3 years. He also worked for Larry H. Miller and Karl Malone Toyota as a subprime loan officer.
Utah has been his home for 47 years. He graduated from Hillcrest High School class of 1986. He received a scholarship from BYU, and played soccer for 3 years. His Study was finance.
His current hobby is music, especially 80s music and native music from Colombia “Salsa”. He had the opportunity to work for Lite FM 100 during the 90s and Rock 103 under the Simons Radio Network. His favorite sports are College Basketball, NBA and of course soccer.
Lance Mortensen
Vice President
Lance is an Assurance Sr. Auditor at Begetter, Lund, & Associates, Inc. He’s been in the accounting industry for over 20 years and in the role of auditor for 12 years. His experience stretches from working with Fortune 500 companies to small local businesses.
Lance is married to Kim Mortensen and they have one beautiful 9 year old daughter, Madison.
Lance loves to golf and fish. He is an avid Utah Jazz and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. As a family they enjoy movies and vacationing when time permits.
Amber Ruoti
Secretary
Amber has worked as an Administrative Assistant for Sunroc Corp for 6 years.
Amber has been married to Brett Ruoti for 28 years and they have 4 children. Trevin is 25, McKade is 23, Brynlee is 19, Harley is 16. They have a new puppy, Lola.
Amber love scary movies, spending time with her family and most recently they enjoy spending time on their boats as a family in the summer.
Nick Rakich

I was born and raised in Midvale, Utah. Graduated from Hillcrest High School in 2000, Married Heather Wilkinson in Salt Lake City in 2004. We have two daughters, Sydney (19) and Zoe (17), and two pups, Luna (white Goldendoodle) and Oakley (black and white Springer Spaniel).
I graduated from UVU with a Bachelor’s of Political Science and a Minor in Business. For the past 10 years I’ve worked as a regional manager in the Los Angeles custom home integrator channel specializing in automation and theater systems.
We’ve lived in this community for almost 10 years and believe we have something very special in our Cottages community.
Deanna Hopkins

Deanna is a lifelong resident of Utah and is the mother of four. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
She is active in civic and community activities. She has served three terms as a state delegate and has served in several leadership capacities, including Professional Women in Building, member of Utah’s Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities, State Workforce Development Board and various Homebuilders Associations.
Her hobbies includes gardening, pencil sketching and hicking.
